Took my car in for the 12k miles service, and the tread across the tyres has worn evenly. But they did say that the inside edge of the fronts is scrubbing.

They offered to replace the tyres, but I told them no, and I'll change them when I need to.

What they didn't offer, was to rotate the tyres. I was thinking the easiest thing is to swap the fronts with the rears on each side, but the manual suggests moving the fronts to the back on the same side, and then moving the backs to the opposite corner at the front.

What would people suggest, and I'm guessing it makes sense to do this fairly regularly? Advice appreciated.

I do what the manual says but I get the wheels rebalanced too (which is £20) as with wear they change a bit.

edit; just to add I haven't bothered with the GRY as it's running 3.3 degrees at the front (wear is quite high), my mileage in the car is extremely limited (not used it for a month) and I'll just swap to the winter set soon and maybe look at some NS2-R's or F1's next Spring.

Hmm Scrubbing .. - where exactly? If you're using stock wheels and tires and tires are scrubbing, that would be a warranty case as it's technical issue?

I rotated mine at 5066 miles, currently on 11492 with about 3mm left on them all
I’ve always rotated tyres on my cars but this is the first that swaps a pair side to side as well

I swap front to rear every 5,000ish km. I marked the rims with a marker pen inside so I don't get confused after swapping to and from track tyres. Those do an event in one position then swap to the opposite next track day. May be overkill but easily done when the wheels are on and off for sprints.

Swapped mine front to back a little while ago but definitely didn't know it was suggested to swap the backs to opposite fronts... Not noticed any negative effects.

Also, if you had directional tyres you wouldn't be able to do it anyway.

Will rotate my wheels this weekend. Then I'll do it regularly.. every 3,000m or 6,000m?

I’m about to fit my winter OZ wheels and will put the fronts from last year in the rear. They only did about 1000 miles or so but might as well keep it right

I replaced them all at 12k. Wear on the inside edge - are there speed bumps where you live? That can cause this type of wear.

Swapped to my winter wheels today and rotated them from last time they were on

Car couldn’t find the TPMS sensors though they worked in the spring

Gave up and turned off the find function on the dash, got out the car to open the garage door and when I got back in the car found them.

The pairing TPMS sensors on these seem to be pretty random

Not really an unusual amount on any regular journey I do, and none near my home.

It's only the fronts, wouldn't it be all four if speed bumps were the cause?
