Well that’s the OEM wheels (and All Season tyres) back on for Autumn/Winter. Unfortunately my first attempt at resetting the TPMS seems to have failed and I ended up with a solid amber tyre pressure system warning light on the dashboard. Attempt #2 this morning, when I’ll re-inflate at cold, reset the system and go for a drive. Fingers crossed it works or I’ll be popping across to Skidz to say “Oi! Why don’t these work anymore?” like a grumpy ol’ man 👨…

Has the second set of TPMS been paired and is that "pair" activated? - the car might be lookign for the ones in the summer wheels.

Yeah, they are the original Toyota ones that were on pre-summer swap, so they should be recognisable by the system. We’ll see what happens later …

Im in much the same situation!! I put CC2's on the stock wheels and sensors last November and all working fine, bought aftermarket wheels and TPMS from dealer and local specialist garage coded new valves with new tyres etc and worked ok for a day and then TPMS light on...I didnt bother going back as I manually check pressures, Car went in for second service a couple of months back and I explained the afore mentioned and they did a hard reset and again it worked fine for a day and then TPMS light on....on the video the technician sends he said he had done a reset and all was fine but if it does it again then bring it back as its possibly a faulty TPMS valve and they will do under warranty...I haven't done so yet as I have a Spanish lady that play the maracas very loudly in the dash when it's under 10 celsius !! So I will drop it off to them for a couple of days to investigate both issues and roar about in an Aygo!!

Second attempt at resetting the TPMS failed again today  . Have contacted 'Skidz' in Falkirk (where my OEM wheels were refurbished) and they said they've had this issue with other GRs, and it probably needs the TPMS re-initialising by the computer; so I'm scheduled to drive across on Monday morning. Seems strange and annoying though, because the user manual indicates that two sets of TPMS can be 'memorised' by the ECU, so I thought this would be a simple swap and reset! Here's hoping things will get sorted on Monday. Standby for further update(s).

I had a similar experience when I got my GR86 last Winter and I thought it was gravel being thrown up onto the underside of the car. It turned out to be the driver side window glass oscillating against the rubber seal and the sound was being 'thrown' around the cabin. I lubricated everything with GummiPhledge and all was well. I'm not saying that this is the same as your problem, but sometimes sound from other places can fool you into thinking you've found the source. Have you driven with a passenger to confirm where they hear it from too?

To be honest I bounce it about a fair bit and as such not overly concerned by rattles on the poor roads I course daily, I to have the window rattle (new to me in the last month or so!!) but the dash one is epic and long standing!! I know what I bought and I appreciate build quality and QC wasn't the best and I love it for it rattles and squeaks and even the back seats coming loose a few times with new rattles!!

TPMS reset by Skidz. Pressures all displayed within a mile of leaving their showroom. 👍🏻

After running 2.2 cold/2.4 warm for a few months, the dealer inflated to 2.4 cold/2.6 warm after its first service (OEM tyres). Had to give the spare wheel securing bolt a few extra turns to stop the vibration noise from the harder ride, and I now feel every minor surface repair on the road - think I'll be dropping them back down again soon.

2.2 cold is still my preferred. Bit tricky with the cold weather but I've not driven it much since I put the new wheels on.

I put CC2's on last winter and run them at 2.2 cold and I really didnt enjoy the tyre at all and had a couple incidences of heading in the direction of where I left from opposed to my intended destination, Ive put them back on a few weeks ago and dropped them them down to 2.0 cold and its transformed the grip from the tyre and confidence in them.

I lowered the PS4s to 32PSI which made them a bit quiet and gave a bit more grip...but since fitting the Goodyears, they've been at 35PSI and felt better still. So I've left them at that.
