A few days ago i replaced a broken BBS Wheel with a new one oficial from Toyota. More specifically the forged ones from the circuit pack. Aparently the new one didn't came with the Tyre Pressure sensor and its causing my car to not detect any pressure from any wheel. I know it takes sometimes a week for them to detect it but in this case I do not have a sensor. I have the broken wheel and tyre with me. The manual suggests on replacing the codes from the TPMS but there is no further instructions on how to achieve this.

Does anyone know where are the codes from the wheels and also how to replace them? I saw there is a way to bypass them by adding the old code via a third party software but first I would like to know if there is an official way to achieve this.

If you've reused the old tpms sensor with the new wheel, it just needs to be rescanned by the car, via the usual TPWS learning menu.
If you're looking to clone the ID from the old sensor to a programmable new one, an Autel type scanner tool can retrieve the tpms IDs and programme a blank sensor.

An Autel type device would also wake up a sensor to allow the running of 2 sets. No need to clone as the Yaris can run 2 sets.

I just cloned mine, was much faster and easier, but that is for me as we have a programmer at hand, took a few mins and showed up straight up. ATEQ one though.

I’m not sure it can be much faster or easier. Having never owned an Autel type device I borrowed a friends new piece of kit. Once I knew what I was doing I reckon it was about 15sec a corner to wake the sensors and then drive for 4min in the Toyota setup mode.

I know cloning you wouldn’t have to run in setup mode but as we like to drive our cars and they work without TPMS that 4min doesnt count.

I have several very high-end scan tools, and with the GR Yaris (other than RS grade), there is nowhere to input sensor codes. Even with GScan 3 and Toyota GTS. The car will learn the new sensors automatically. I have several sets of wheels and tires I run, all with OEM sensors, and I have never input the codes into the ECU (like I said, the option isn't there). I just swap the wheels and initialize the system through the dash menu. The car learns the new sensors by itself.

I know the owner's manual says to have the dealer input the codes, but I think that's broiler plate stuff they put in every manual. If you keep reading, there's a section describing how to do it from the dash.

I make sure the car has been sitting at least 30 minutes with the new wheels and everything is asleep. Then start the car and go to the TPMS menu and initialize the system. Wait for it to stop fast and then slow blinking before moving. By the time I've backed out of the garage, it has already registered the new set. Works even with the other sets still in the garage, in close proximity.
