GR Yaris Towing a GR

Not sure if it would damage the 4WD system. I'd have it on a low loader if I needed to.

This ^^.

Towing it is highly likely to damage the AWD system. Either a flat bed or disconnect the propshaft to be safe.

Taken from the owner's handbook:
When towing the vehicle
Be sure to transport the vehicle with
all four wheels raised off the ground. If
the vehicle is towed with the tires con￾tacting the ground, the drivetrain or
related parts may be damaged

The (online) owners manual is very specific, no towing with any wheels on the ground, flatbed only.

Thanks hopefully I will never need it. Incidentally my local T agent GR expert said OK to tow in neutral, no clutch pac damage .

Has anybody actually towed one ? At a race track for example ?

I think you cant choose how you get towed at a track?

I don't think towing a car out from a gravel pit or a short distance slowly back to e.g. the pitlane is a big issue. However towing it for many miles at (near) road speeds probably isn't ideal....

No implied warranty. Follow the user manual....
