Considering getting a second set of wheels for winter tyres.
I've done the last winter, including travel to Italy and back in December and January on the OEM Pilot Super Sport. It was ok, the only ice encoutered was going up and down the Mt Blanc in Jan and some sleet in London Jan/Feb.
The PSS are kinda slippery when temperatures are low and tyres are cold. I wouldn't expect otherwise. Short city trips were fun.
This is also one of the situations where less power helps (I have a 2023 2.0).
I've done about 11k miles this year, and this summer I'll drive south again and I'm expecting to replace the tyres in July/August (rear at 3+mil now) and buy a set of PS4S.
I'll see how they behave in cold weather (seems better than what I have now) and I should not use the car that much this winter, at least for long distance driving, but still... considering that second set of wheels.
Has anyone run a square setup? 255/255?
Is it worth to look for used rims and maybe buy two sets of front wheels?
I see there is relatively few 2.0 sets of wheels for sale online.
