GR Corolla Spotted at Torque Moto, West Sussex, today.

I spoke to the young driver briefly, he has been told it's the only one in Europe. He said, "something for the weekend". When I asked him how he was finding it, he said "alright" and that was it, conversation over. He didn't seem to recognise my 86 parked beside.

It is a pitty they aren't for sale here as those extra doors and bigger boot would be better for some people. Although, at Goodwood in July the Toyota person told me they are well down the track to developing the GR Yaris Cross to go along side the Lexus LBX Morizo. Basically the same car but with a different body with all the propper GR stuff. Now that would be interesting as I really, really like my daily Yaris cross as it is so practical.

Yes, I think the Corolla would be a great challenger for the gap left in the woeful current gen Golfs etc.

Sorry a little off topic but how do you find your Yaris Cross? Test drove one and had a soft spot for it, but wondering what road noise is like on the motorway as my OH struggles with the noise in the GR so we don’t want a repeat of that! Also looking at a Lexus UX for a slightly larger crossover and thought it might perfectly bridge the gap between Yaris Cross and Corolla, another choice.
