Depending what time you go it can be a nightmare queuing up to get into Newby Hall.
The Motorist is much easier. No affiliation, I like both venues.

Motorist has something on Saturday & Sunday virtually all year (mud filled parking field permitting), Newby Hall is once a year and usually the best attended SCITP event. Agree that it’s best to get there early if you can, ideally before 9.00 and you will be straight in. Also bring your own food , queues are LONG if you want to buy anything on site.

I haven't done SCITP for a few years so I might like to go this time. *But* just noticed it's the Coronation on the Saturday, so it's a bank holiday weekend and we might go away in the motorhome . . . decisions decisions

(and there is a BRSCC Race meeting on at Croft that weekend too - got to make use of my season ticket!)

The plan is for the forum to have a presence at Newby Hall - but obviously needs support from owners to support the event. Last year we had approx 20 cars in total.

Some pictures of our section can be found here and for the entire event at https://www.sportscarsinthepark.co.uk/

Hopefully that will increase this year, there are plenty of GR86s within a 90 minute drive of Newby Hall 👍
Hopefully the East Yorkshire GR86 Owners Club AKA @Hicko , @Edgey and @AndyRC will all be there 🤞

Walk through into the Gardens, there is a nice Cafe there. Better than queuing at the fast food outlets in the field.

More good news I requested the GR86 be added to the eligible car list for SCITP and it’s now showing. If you have not attended a SCITP event before you won’t be able to buy a ticket for the first two weeks they go on sale , don’t worry Newby Hall is a massive venue and has never sold out. I’m sure @GR-Admin will post a forum event in due course. Hopefully this will be a great opportunity to get plenty of the GR86 owners together on the GR Zoo club stand 👍😎

I prefered Newby Hall over Castle Howard. Newby seemed to have many more exhibit cars. Looking forward to Newby this year and seeing some GR86 as they look lovely and remind me of my two Celicas.
