Please can someone point me in the right direction.
I’m looking for a recommendation of a good place to take my GR to for its first inspection, which is due soon, and subsequent services.
I’m West Midlands B45.
I’m thinking I need somewhere with a GR tech., someone who knows their way around these cars.
Looked at Toyotas website which suggests Listers Coventry and Steven Eagell Birmingham are GR services centres. These any good ?
Thanks !

I’ve always gone to Listers Nuneaton. Yes the Coventry one is listed as a ‘GR’ centre but any Toyota dealership can service the cars and have the knowledge to do so. Last time I took mine to the Nuneaton dealership there were 3 other GR Yaris’s (Yari??) being seen ( one with bronze wheels which gave me much to think about).

Service department there have always been great with me, for sales though wouldn’t recommend.

Edit: sorry just seen your B45. Nuneaton would be a fair treck for you. But as stated any Toyota dealership should be able to service the cars. Just from my experience I know the Nuneaton dealer have seen plenty of these.

FYI my personal experience of a pre-service recce Coventry was not good, didn't even know the correct service interval for the car. So, I said no that's wrong can I talk to a GR technician and he also got it wrong and couldn't answer any basic questions about the car - I took it to String Theory in Stratford upon Avon - who are very knowledgeable about the car.

Thanks for your input.
Having asked the same Q on a GR FR group i got good recommendations for RRG Toyota in Macclesfield.
Yes it’s a trek for me, but they seem to have lots of happy customers.
Both the service manager and the resident GR tech are GR Yaris owners.

They are on this forum. :p

Personally I don't think it makes much difference who you go to, they all have fixed prices so the cost will be the same and how hard can it be to change the oil and filter and check the tyre tread depth, disc pads and top up the screenwash?

@v8s, You are right it’s not hard to do the above you have mentioned, but to have technicians at Rrg Macclesfield that are knowledgable about your car and also have a wealth of knowledge about any modifications that have been carried out to your vehicle is a rarity in the dealership environment.
Our customers travel miles to visit the dealership, in most cases book premier inns. I’m guessing that’s due to the reputation we have built up with our customers, plus they are aware that some of us own these cars so understand we the same passion.

I am in North Notts and wouldn't take my car anywhere else. The GR is obviously a special and different piece of kit compared to most of the Toyota range. For me knowing that a few of the RRG Service team are big GR enthusiasts is a massive plus. And the drive across the Peak District to get there is always a bonus 😎

One week ago I emailed 3 local Toyota main dealers, with a view to getting my car serviced. Two didn’t have the courtesy to reply. The other couldn’t answer answer a simple question I posed.

Does sound like standard Toyota customer care TBF. For the biggest car maker out there I expected better, maybe they just reserve all their good customer care for the Lexus owners.

Hi Dakster, can I ask where you got the underside done and how much? Thanks.

I took mine to RRG Macclesfield today. Very happy with the work done and I highly recommend. My thanks to Richard and his team, car running better than before.
