Hey all, two days ago I made a short trip with my yaris and left it outside for the night. yesterday when I arrived to the car the discs suddenly had rust on them. all of them. I know that sometimes brake discs can have superficial rust on it and after a short drive they clean themselves up which is what happened here. But i wanted to check with anyone here if they encountered this same issue and avoid going to the repair shop. if it is not necesary.

Yeah it’s well known and happens lots. Sometimes if it’s been parked up a while I have to rev to about 2500 rpm just to pull away on a slightly uphill driveway! It will entirely clear up after a couple of hard brakes and some driving, just check the mirrors before you do so!
