For the read diff and/or transfer case oil Change, its much easier to open the plugs with proper extensions, so used this setup.

What is the recommended tool for doing valve springs? Might dive into subject this winter so would be glad to hear what tool works best for the job.

Having done the job myself, this is exactly the tools and syringe I used. Even with the extension the diffs are still a pain to do
