The message I got from Toyota:

Hallo,

In short this means after just one week they got so much orders, they're full for the entire production year... 😅🤣 jeez, guess burning fermented dinosaur is still hot cake! 😱

It's even bigger shitshow in Poland  We only got like 25 allocations for this year production and apperantly around 100 later next year. So it's pretty much impossible to order one and history has repeated itself just like with GR Yaris orders. Dealers are taking all the cars available and they'll most likely sell them with hefty markup. I was hoping to upgrade my 17' BRZ to GR86 one day but I guess it might be hard to even to find one at sticker price 😵‍💫

A few folk are anticipating a similar situation in the U.K. when the order books eventually open so making a pre-order to hopefully avoid this. A limited supply, compounded by supply chain issues, will equal high demand and mostly likely the 2022 allocation will sell out quickly In the U.K. too.

How can we find out how much allocation each market has? I thought it would be separated into domestic markets like US UK EU JDM and so on. But I have no idea how to get numbers for each market.

I expect the only way will be via someone in the dealer network in each country who would have access to the allocation numbers. I doubt Toyota will make that data public unless it is a limited edition vehicle where numbers are published eg the Supra Jarama edition 🤔

Wow, do we know what the German allocation was?
200 cars I think someone said. So it's not surprising.

A figure of 4600 was batted around as the total number of allocations for the 2 years for Europe. Nothing certain with that statement but It wouldn't surprise me if its true.
