Did anyone notice the 72 plates out today !?

With a new white car due in September I managed to secure GR72WRC, I’ve also bought GR72YRS which was still available after I bagged WRC… will sell one of them and keep the other… lots more on DVLA still but rather a fight for the above when they launched at 10am today !

I was looking at GR72TOY, but somebody bagged it first!

FFS Toyota just called my car arrives in June now !!!! Until it changes again 😂 🤯

Had been sept22 for months - originally it was a May 22 arriving car… i took over someone’s order so I have no way of tracking it other than via dealer looking it up… if it does arrive in June my current 21 plate circuit pack and the 2 x 72 plates bought will be going on sale ! 😂

Anyone recommend a good plate maker? 4-dot is out of my budget sadly :( Planning to go short front and rear 11x8"

I’ve ordered from:

and

Both have been decent. Think Fancy Plates might have been slightly higher quality, but the downside is that for legal plates it says the words Fancy Plates on the bottom 😆

Went with proplates. Got the 11x8" rear and 16" front.

I am reviving an old thread to save making a new one, or at least those who always click what's new at the top will see this (I do/its my main way of browsing the forum).

Looking to buy a numberplate, can somebody explain why you would go through the likes of eg. Swiftreg vs the direct DVLA website? The one I want is available on both but is £50 cheaper on DVLA which includes registration, VAT and the transfer fee too.

Swiftreg breaks costs down too but it still comes up as as more for the same thing. Am I missing something or is there an extra step? And not going to share what one it is incase anybody beats me to it :P (but is nothing special). If you add up the Reg and VAT on Swiftreg you do get 399 but then the £80 on top is also there. Whereas from DVLA its 399 all in!

Yeah it's just trying to catch people who don't know the official site.

Same shit happens with ESTAs for the US. It's like ten quid iirc but there a lot of services that'll do it for a hundred.
