Hello, I own one of the 300 GR Yaris that made it to Mexico, back in 2021. I took delivery of my car in august that year. I learned that cars sent to emergent markets, were equipped with a horrendous head unit, which my car came with.
In 2023, with the help of a dear Japanese friend, I was able to retrofit a nicer head unit (86140-52451). I had to source parts from Poland, Japan, Spain and Lithuania, just for the sake of having the european look.
My friend, who's an engineer, made a custom loom, since the car connectors were totally different from the ones in the new head unit. Long story short, all works great, except the new head unit shows a "no microphone connected" message, so I can't make phone calls, using the sound system. One time, I tried to follow the leads from the microphones, all the way to the connectors, but it seems like I have continuity in pins already connected, that of course do other stuff.
Can anyone help me out to finally solve this issue?
