Hey everyone,

I'm a car guy from France, 32 years old, still counting !

After having had 13 cars, including WRX 2007, Integra Type R, 206 RC, 208 GTI BPS, GT86 ..., and given the political context in France (90k€ taxes on new sports car above 189g CO2/KM !!!! basically making them unofferdable except for rich people), I chose to offer myself my dream car.

The aim is to baby it and keep it until it can't stay on the road anymore ! So, a red GR Yaris from 2020 is in my garage now :)

I found a lot of usefull information at gr zoo so I chose to join the forum so I can show my car and participate in the forum's exchanges.

Thanks for the plateform guys !

Welcome!

I had a 208 GTI BPS before my GR86. And several other Peugeots before that. Really enjoyed all of them.

I did have a a lot of fun with them, especially the BPS with which I really felt good behind the wheel. I could do whatever I wanted with the car, fuel economy was really good too.

However, tyre choice was really bad in stock size (and we can't really change them in France, wheel diameter has to stay the same so I would have needed to go 17") and I have had quite a few issues with it. Standard cat died (almost 2K€ , the cat itself is 1650€), I had to change turbo vanne twice (each time 400€), front right caliper had to be refurbished after it started sticking, which almost cost me a set of pads ... At some point it was too much !

That is bad luck... Only issue I had with my BPS in the four years I had it, was fixed under warranty. Guess I was lucky.

Fingers crossed your GR is more reliable.

I think it was just bad luck, it is what it is !

The GR has 14K km, never been tracked, the handbrake was not even broke in and is still under the 10 year toyota warranty.

I do not plan on modifying it either ! I am optimistic :)
