Hi - does anyone know if the GR86 works with the MyT app?

I also have a Corolla and I'm not saying the app is a lot of use but it does warn me if I left my car unlocked or windows open, picks up any warning lights and tells me the location of my car. Was thinking the ability to locate the car would be useful in case it was stolen given we don't have an alarm on it.

I've tried to search for the car using the reg no and the VIN but it says it can't find the car. I can't find any way to pull up the QR code from the infotainment system which is the only other way to register the car with the app. I was able to find that under the profile in the Corolla.

I only picked the car up on Monday so maybe thats a reason the system can't find it....

Would like to hear if anyone has bothered or successfully connected their car to it. Otherwise a call to the dealer........

It doesn't really work with the GR86, probably because it's a Subaru product really. Most of us were able to use it to track order status, but that's about it. There's no real useful functions or car connectivity.

The MyToyota App stopped tracking my car's build status in July and, despite several promises by TOL to add my order back into my profile, nothing has happened since. Given that I can't track my order status and it does nothing with the GR86 (see above), I've decided to delete my profile and the App. I guess I'll have to remember where I parked it and when the service is due. Anyone got a pencil? ;)

Ah well, at least my iPhone (and Google Maps) will continue to do that for me. Come to think of it, I could make use of some Apple Airtags I have laying around - I've seen some sticky 3M IP8 covers/cases on Amazon (for around a fiver for 4) that would house one and then I could place it somewhere on the car. Sorted methinks!

I tossed one in the boot a few months back, a very cheap and convenient solution!!
