GR Yaris (Gen 2) Marble roof

Hi, I would like to know what's the difference in the following.

Dose it come standard with the carbon roof which is basically a wrap on top of the forged carbon and the marble carbon is exposed forged carbon with proper protection instead of a wrap.

Or the marble option is basically the carbon roof with a wrap?

Yes the roof is the same roof just wrapped to save time and money. The prep work to make it smooth and lacquered is quite labour intensive so offered as an extra in Japan.

I had my roof wrap replaced under warranty and they mentioned it was lacquered before being wrapped, I have wondered if I could just remove the wrap tbh

Any idea if both of them are wrapped or the marble is left exposed?
Asking because I am thinking of buying one, thinking of going to the dealership next week and Asking hopefully the ones we have are Laquered not only wrapped.

Correct, same roof. Instead of the carbon look wrap you get the forged carbon exposed. It's a very flat finish. To be honest it makes the car look dirty under direct sunlight. Here's a few images. From afar and under overcast conditions + direct sunlight. It doesn't look much different after a wash. Only the grmn got the carbon weave roof.

This is definitely way better, wish if they produced some of them lhd. By far Grmn is my favourite.

GRMN has a real carbon weave roof along with the roof spoiler. Given that just the spoiler is almost £5k to buy I shudder to think how much the roof would cost
