I'm planning to fit a lower temp thermostat to help control oil temps on track (and engine bay temp generally) and looking at various options:
Mishimoto are off the table because I've previously had one fail shut and they're not getting a second chance!
Billion don't seem to be available in the UK.
However. there are OE thermostats used in other Subarus that open at 82degC or 78degC (standard is 87) and I'd much prefer to use OE (Nippon) parts for reliability reasons.
There are numerous part numbers for the older lower temp thermostats and diameter and height match the part in the FA engine so I believe they should fit.
Question is: has anyone tried this?
