Friday is the day the car is delivered to me. Any advice for someone who has never had a car with more than 100 hp?

Don't push it too hard early on. Likely, you'll be able to drive a 100hp car closer to its limit on a real road than with the Yaris. Don't... be scared of it, but also leave the more advanced modes alone for TC. If you're not sure where the limit is, it's best to be wary.

I don't think it's feasible to really push a GR too hard on a real road without travelling at license losing speeds quite rapidly

Enjoy it, don't push too hard, learn the car.

He he he, thats a good advice. I must clarify, i am an experience driver, i have been in the karting world since i remeber but never drive a real car with that power. I want to step up to track days and bought this car for that. I am a little nervous and just want to be cautious with this.

Maybe get a little tuition there if you want to do track days, etc. It'll help you get the best out of it.

Full send with expert mode off the forecourt is the only way to go!

Don’t believe that AWD will save you would be my advice. As im sure you’ve seen it’s still possible to get out of shape so work up your confidence with the car. I’ve had mine 2 years and still finding the limits.

Karting is quite different to being on the road. I would take a step back and say you’re not an experienced driver. There is always something we can learn and over confidence or hesitation is what makes mistakes.

Totally agree with you, does not misunderstand my words. I am definitely not over confidence I know my limits and is quite low for this car, that's why this post came up.

I want to learn myself and the car, but i am not sure if i chose the right car for that. But, i watched the market and my bank account and this car fits in all aspect, quite powerful, not so flashy, toyota,... you know :D
