I never liked the cheap plastic feel and texture of the factory airbag cover on the steering wheel.

it’s good to see options now for custom leather ones.

Agree. You'd also have a steering wheel centre that doesn't match anything else in the cabin.

I just couldn't stand the cheap plastic feel. Totally ruins the car feel, next should be a custom steering wheel for me

I can't imagine there is. I would have thought the airbag pushes it one way rather than go through it, otherwise you would have a nice Toyota logo embedded into you.

I just mean, generally speaking, that covers are designed to behave in a very specific way when the bag deploys, ie it opens up in certain areas and not others etc.
