side mirror defrosters are nice to have with daily car, especially if driving sub '5C.
from rear window you don't see much anyways so that defroster could have been left out to save few critical g's from high COG.

Keep saying it, but really really happy with my digital rear view mirror solution, MUCH better visibility then any real mirror in all weather lighting incl night. Once cleared the rear lens stays clean when driving too behind the antenna even in downpours, snow etc.

I'd really like to do what you did with that...but I'm too lazy
Stick the rear heater on in a vain attempt to dry as much of the rain as possible it is!
