GR Yaris (Gen 2) Gen2 boot struts

I recently had the Gen2 rear lights fitted and the boot is noticeably heavier, so I doubt my struts are long for this world!

Anyone know part numbers for updated ones? Or suitable alternatives - cheers!

The original part is 68960-0WP60, the updated part is 68950-0WD20 so it looks like maybe an uprated one

I would say that these things seem to be pretty universal though.

I've not brought my car to work today so can't check, but there is usually the force of the strut in Newtons written on the damper itself, and as long as you get one that is approximately the same extended length with a bit more ooomph then it'll likely just snap straight on.

I've done this before to get a bit more of a spring on a bootlid that was a bit saggy, even on new OEM parts.

Think you’ve got that the wrong way round

Gen2:
68950-0WP60 - RH £72
68960-0WP60 - LH £72

OWD20 is the Gen1 part.

GR Yaris (Gen 2) Thread 'Tailgate Gas Strut part number'

I have upgraded my original GR Yaris with the Gen 2 tailgate light bar. It’s heavier & the original gas struts are struggling. Does anyone know what the Toyota part number is for the Gen 2 cars as I believe it is stronger, raised from 10 Nm to 40Nm.
Unfortunately local dealer wants a VIN number to find it and they haven’t seen a Gen 2 yet to look it up.
