In 2012 we had the discussion with the GT86.
We had it multiple times in the last years in different forums.

Eventually, we will discuss it here, I guess
To make it short: do not plug your resonator. You will not gain sound, you will lose power.

People plug the opening between the airbox and the marked resonator, because they think its for silencing the engine. But its there for power reasons.
I tested it about 3 times on my old car.
