Nice discrete mod. Gives a little ‘bling’ to the engine bay. I have one also 😁.

Got a carbon one on order. Presumably it's have the car on flat ground, undo the bolts and fit? Is it as straightforward to do as it looks?

My observations since it was fitted as follows. And I have just come back from a 1200 mile trip to round and from the Isle of Man....

Brake feel is a bit better. Not by a huge amount tbh but still better than it was. I expected more. Perhaps unrealistically so.

What I'm a little more surprised about is this....

The car feels more stable at speed cornering, more agile. More sure footed.

I could also swear it's a little quieter. Some reports suggest that linking the suspension struts helps cancel or reduce vibration and annoying harmonics over rough road surfaces.

I'm no mechanic, no engineer. But this has been my experience over the last 1200 miles since having the strut brace fitted. Overall I am very happy. But more so with the feel of the car than the improvement in braking I was originally looking for.

For braking I have ordered and will fit a full TRD GR brake kit. Perhaps overkill but I'm used to much stronger brakes on my Performance GTi and I'm happy to invest the money in the GR. Plus, they do look really cool imo 😏

That's good to know. Where you getting the brakes from? It's that or a Blitz setup for me but going Blitz may mean parts issues later.

Thanks appreciate you sharing your thoughts. Sounds worthwhile
 
I also concur it's a worthwhile mod. Turn in feels even better to the point I'm looking at rear bars to match it. There's a Kansei Service one that's not intrusive. Not as bling but you don't see it anyway. Just a shame the GR Performance dampers probably won't clear it.
 
Any preference between the alloy and carbon one? Carbon is only £10 more (rhd with stopper)
