Joking aside, I encourage you to try unplugging it now you have an exhaust.

I'm really not a fan of the fake noise, but I also found it to be slightly out of sync with the engine revs which made heal and toeing sound wierd.

Glad you're enjoying the car. You've done more Miles than me, and I've had mine about 10 months 😅

I'm not a fan of the fake sound either, had my switched at the dealers and its a lot better IMHO
 
Thanks for the comments. I may well revisit the fake noise when I upgrade the audio. A sub tends to make it a non-starter. I just wanted to try it with to see what I thought. In other news, I've noticed that if you lift off from high revs it does pop occasionally which I dare to admit I quite like. I reckon when the exhaust gets hot it will do it more. My Yaris also did this, but it didn't do it a lot. I'm fine with that. I am really loving the exhaust as I acclimatise to it, it seems pretty much spot on for what I want and now my car sounds like it should have done in the first place. :)
