I'm sure you've heard all about ChatGPT and Open AI, and how it can respond to questions in 'natural language'. Bing is going to introduce it into it's web search, which is a massive step forward in the search engine area and Google will be responding in kind I'm sure.

I use it every day for actual work. It is astounding, as long as you work with it and don't expect it to do miracles (although some of the stuff it manages to crank out is mind-bending!)

Creating generic copy, mostly. Today I used it to write an intranet user guide for Microsoft SSPR that we are shortly to introduce. It saved me at least an hour rattling out the basic text.

I’ve used it for producing first drafts of job specs and bits of tender docs, for some ETL stuff, a bit of scripting/regex, and don’t tell my manager but I also used it to help write my 2023 objectives

It's pretty good at factual/technical stuff, although it does need checking.

I asked it to write a screenplay for Allo Allo. It did a pretty good job.

Then I asked it to add Rick from Rick & Morty as a character. Then I asked it to change it so they were speaking Doric.

Took it all in its stride.
