GR Yaris Brake pad measuring tool without removing wheels

Measurements of the same (ie unchanged) items by different Toyota dealer garages:

• 9500 miles
  • Tyres: 4 mm
  • Front pads: 6.0 mm
• 12000 miles
  • Tyres on three out of four wheels: 4.1-4.3 mm
  • Front pads: 4.0 mm on each side of each wheel and 5 mm as an overall entry for front
• 15000 miles
  • Front pads: 5.5 mm

So, it's either that my tyres and pads are regenerating, increasing in size with use, or some garages have been overzealous, or at least not too careful, logging wear that hasn't necessarily occurred.

There are tools that allow measuring of pads without removing the wheel. Any suggestions or recommendations, please? Anything similar for discs?
