Hi All,

Those who have the boot vertical cargo net:

Is it a self install job or does it involve drilling into the boot so dealer install only?

If dealer only is it ยฃ38.65 inclusive of fitting or more for them to fit?

Cheers.

It's a self-install, no drilling required.

Remove a couple of clips, pull back the trim, install the bolts, put the trim back, install the hooks, them hook the cargo net on. Done, 4 min jobby.

Don't bother with the dealer.

Cheers thanks for this, so look likes it's removable too. Anywhere to buy direct except direct from dealer?

I've had the net since I've had the car car and never installed as wasnt sure how removable, I'll go do it later day ๐Ÿ‘

You could import it from a third party website, but it will probably be more expensive after you've paid relevant custom duties and taxes.

I don't believe Toyota UK sells the GR86 accessories directly, only via their authorised dealers.

There may be third party options available on ebay, but you'd probably be sacrificing quality for a negligible saving.

I have one on order, only about ยฃ38 from memory.

Cheers, think will order one, is your dealer doing free fitting for that price?

Installed the net earlier. It's literally a 5min job.
  • Pop the clip inside by the hinge.
  • Pull back trim to give hand access
  • Slot the threaded clip onto metal tab
  • Push trim back in place
  • Screw on the provided screw (pointy side)
  • Screw in net clip onto the part of screw that remains visible.... job done.
Not sure why I didn't do this sooner, I thought someone previously said something needed drilling but it doesn't.

Thank you very useful.

I have one on order. Had no idea how it would fit. Do now ๐Ÿ‘

Cheers

Me too, just waiting.
How long is the lead time on ordering and delivery from dealer?
I was planning to order when car goes in for service hoping they would have it on the shelf and I would just pick it up when I was there?
Cheers

I have been waiting for over a month and the latest estimate (and it's a guess by the dealer) is sometime in November....

Well, remove the month that was lost as the salesman never processed my request the day I picked it up, as Toyota told me just before delivery that they were out of stock. I checked the parts dept two weeks ago, and nothing I had asked for was ordered. So, the touch up kit, cargo net, oil filter and sump plug/washer and a gearbox sump plug and washer will arrive sometime late November ๐Ÿคฏ

Installed the cargo net today ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Super easy but WARNING.... don't drop the metal clip behind the boot liner. It's a nightmare to fish out. Yep. I did exactly that ๐Ÿคฆ

Otherwise very happy and does the job ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿ‘

This YT short shows you how to do it...
