I've recently taken ownership of a well cared for scarlet flare GR Yaris. Currently the OEM BBS wheels are in excellent condition and I'd like to keep them that way, however I do feel that I'd like an alternative look, so am thinking of matt bronze Bola B1's.

I've been in touch with Bola and they "normally supply 18x8.5 5x114.3 ET35" but I'm wary of potentially impacting the feel of the handling on our poorly maintained roads with that change of offset. So, I've been asking Bola what alternative fitments (while still being able to fit centre caps) they could supply and here's the list.
  • 18x8.5 ET40
  • 18x8.5 ET44
  • 18x9.5 ET43
  • 18x9.5 ET45
Having seen pictures of a GRY with 18x9.5 ET45 Bola B1's, they certainly have the look I'm after with the benefit of retaining the stock ET45 offset. But are there any negatives when running a 9.5 inch width wheel on UK roads, other than paying more for tyres?

Alternatively, if I went for the 8.5 inch width wheel with either an ET35 or ET40 offset, would I really notice the difference in handling?

Mine runs similar to bolas.,...deep dish.

18x9.5 ET 42

Very close to the caliper but fits totally fine

I've got the Bola B1 18x9.4 ET45 and have no negatives to report at all.
