Saw two GR86s at the Scramble today. One black and one in sapphire/trueno blue. Anyone on here?

First time I've seen any since the UK launch at Goodwood in summer 2021. The black ones do look good. In some ways, it's the most cohesive colour scheme given the wheel colours.

Nice work! I hope you are enjoying it lots.

In case you were not wondering, I turned up in a Renault Captur with a roofbox and the all important no cost option of two door dents. Great machinery there today - I even manage to catch Harry Metcalfe in his Lancia Fulvia Zagato. A beautiful thing.

You were lucky, I’d like to have seen that after all the money he spent on it. There’s always such a variety there I end up missing something. The closest I got to celebrity spotting was seeing Richard Porter behind me in a queue for coffee!

On that side of things.....

Surely you mean “And On That Bombshell…”
I'm more a fan of his newer work!

How did you get a pass to park in the compound by the way? I thought that was for pre-1990 cars only?

I’m a scramblers member, and they ask for members to put their cars forward to be picked to go on display. I guess that they thought it’s the sort of car that would be of interest to visitors, given that most people won’t have seen one before, and they’ll be a rare sight in the UK.
