Seems odd they only paint corrected the parts without PPF. Blades near the paintwork!![]()
Cutting PPF on the car is still done by detailing companies that do custom sized PPF. It's normally the more expensive and time consuming option, but it allows them to wrap around the edges precisely and wrap up bits that haven't got pre-cut templates. On the other hand there is a high risk of damaging the paint underneath so you have to trust the detailer and their skill, and you will pay for their time accordingly.I watched this yesterday and this is a poor example of PPF application.
Most companies use pre-cut templates for the panels and not just go straight at bare paint with a blade. They would also detail the car first so that the shine was effectively “locked in” beneath the PPF.
I guess it’s still nice to see more of the car in any capacity though.

What baffles me is that they claim minor defects will not be visible much under PPF (although I've heard contradictory claims before stating that PPF will highlight them even more) but yet they have decided to do a two stage correction with a heavy duty microfibe pad on the rest of the car?
Obviously they're a reputable detailer and I'm sure they have their reasons, but I wish they explained them in the video, as clearly correction was done on the rest of the car after applying PPF on the front.
