I have one of these installed in my JDM BRZ. It's a very well spec'd unit and records front and rear cams as well as plays the usual media. After a lot of using Google Lens to read the (Japanese only) display, I got it to do Android Auto which means it is usable.

However, one thing has defeated me and seems bizarre: I cannot find time zone settings. It remains obstinately on Japanese time zone which means I cannot have auto-brightness and night mode setup as they work at the wrong times. Does anyone know Alpines well and can get me into whatever secret mode contains these settings?

Hi, I also have one of these head units, any luck in finding out if there is a way to change the language?

No, I really think there is no way to adjust the language or the time zone.

It does work really well with Android Auto and I use an Ottocast module plugged into the master USB to give me wireless Android Auto. That means I can run everything from the phone such as streaming music, Waze navigation and can make and take phone calls.

I take it yours is a JDM?
