A few familiar user names on here, have taken the decision to register a profile on here just in case the other forum disappears. I don't understand the reasons why this has happened probably because I do not know all the facts. And if I am honest don't really need to know. I have invested quite a bit of time on the other forum making more than 1700 post. Maybe in time we will all be enlightened a little.
So it's a hello from me. :)

Good to see you on here, hopefully we'll see you on a regular basis.

Collectively we've all spent a huge amount of time at the other place, but when communication stops completely and with potential changes to how the forum operates in the future that forced our hand.

We are respectful to the other forum and it's members because we have spent so much time there, but the direction it's heading means we have no control, influence or dialogue and so that was the beginning of the end for us. The forum for us is about the people, community and driving and not just monetisation.

I was reading all the new stuff on the old site, and was becoming increasingly irritated by not being able to actually see much of the screen because of the adverts. Then I read about this site and thought it best to register on here in case the thread on the old site vanished to stop defections.

I'm not really into forums as they tend to be populated by knobs. The GR-Yaris site was a refreshing change. Run by enthusiasts for enthusiasts and full of useful information. And none of the nastiness that pervades many similar sites. If this site can carry that spirit forward I'll be a happy man. Well I will if I ever actually get my car! ๐Ÿ˜‚

Yes have to agree the pop up adds are irritating, they must have happened recently as not noticed them until recently.

Well we've been running the other one since January? So expect the same style and nonsense at this place. (y)
