PRICE DROPPED - £36.5k

**Having assessed what would be needed to make the car mint i'm prepared to accept £36.5k for the car. At that price there is zero room for haggling, everything has been priced in, but i'll buy lunch for the buyer**

After 3 incredibly fun years it's time to let my GR Yaris go. This has been on my mind for a while and after starting a new business late last year it doesn't make sense to keep it when the money would be better invested into my future so I have to be a grown up and move this on. It's being wasted as a daily at the minute.

A lot of people know this car and i've created some great memories with it - good and bad - so it breaks my heart to list it for sale. It's a difficult one to price as the spec list is huge but it needs bodywork to make it mint so it's ideal if someone wants a very capable track and B-road car but not for the collector unless they want to spend some money fixing it up. This has been factored into the price and is not a point to haggle over. It's a great option for someone who wants the experience of a sequential GR Yaris without paying the £15k+ required to install one. If you picked up a used GR Yaris today the car + parts list alone to build to this spec would be north of £65k before adding labour.

I also won't entertain tyre kickers or people wanting a joyride. Test drives would require proof of fully comprehensive cover, i'm happy to demo the car to a prospective buyer but no insurance means no test drive.

21 plate Circuit Pack
38xxx miles (still in use so will rise)
Pearlescent white
MOT'd at 34,904 miles, expiry 28th Feb 2025. No advisories.
Manufacturer's service history up to 30k miles. Since the new turbo and gearbox has gone in at approx 34k miles the service schedule has changed to be engine oil, filter, gearbox oil, diff and transfer case oils and brake fluid after every two trackdays using OEM seals, Motul 300V engine oil and Fuchs Titan gearbox, diff and transfer case oils.

**The livery has been removed and the car is currently white with the carbon front end and a couple of stickers**

With the spec out of the way let's talk good and bad.

Good -

Absolute weapon of a car. Proven on track and quarter mile with data to back it up, this car is doing an 11.8 at Crail Raceway which equates to about an 11.5 on a decent surface. No play in the suspension, engine never skips a beat and that sequential gearbox is absolutely ridiculous, it's the main reason i'm going to miss the car. The gearbox is close to £20k to supply and fit and it completely transforms the way the car drives. It always makes me grin when rowing through the gears.

Mapped by the guys who arguably know these cars on Syvecs better than anyone the car runs brilliantly. With several trackdays under its belt since the new turbo and gearbox went on it's been completely reliable and continues to start on the button every day. No lumpy idle, no misfiring, really nice power delivery. We've gone through something like 50+ revisions of the maps over the last couple of years to refine driveability and power delivery and I'm really happy with how it's running. The addition of the EGT sensor is great for peace of mind with preset limp modes set on the Syvecs to protect everything. The antilag and launch control make the car feel every bit like the "rally car for the road" it was marketed as.

The suspension feels great, it's been set up with my preference of geometry with -3.5 degrees front camber, 6.5 degrees of caster, slight toe out front and toe in rear. The Ohlins are compliant enough for daily driving when softened up but also stiffen up sufficiently for trackdays too, very capable suspension. On the Nankang CR-S it can pull 1.5G+ in corners in optimal conditions and the front plated diff really helps with traction. With the Syvecs it also has the option to turn traction control completely off (OEM cars still have background nanny features even with "fully off") and lets you do silly AWD donuts and show off for track photographers.

The 400hp figure may not seem that impressive when compared to what people are doing with big turbo kits and 600+hp these days but the car was built to be driven hard all day and drive home with the fast response time of a hybrid turbo without needing to forge the internals.

Still keen? Ok, now for the bad -

It's noisy. Never had an issue with track noise limits but inside the car there is a lot of mechanical noise from the gearbox. I've survived 400+ mile journeys with it but it's a noise that just doesn't go away. Great when driving fast but not so great when cruising. Also due to the shorter ratios the mpg has taken a hit but that's not why we drive these cars.

It's had an eventful life. Most notably it had a front end bump last year, not severe enough to damage the chassis legs or subframe but the bumper, bonnet and wings do have damage as a result. I replaced the front coilovers and bottom arms to be on the safe side but the car drives and tracks straight so it's all cosmetic

The rear quarter also had a respray two years ago when a van reversed into it outside my house but after wrapping the car last year the clearcoat has lifted in a couple of places

The car has fixed bucket seats that were built to my spec. The seating position is ideal for somenoe around 5ft10 to 6ft but too far either side of that you'd probably want to look at different seats. I am quite fat though so there's at least plenty of width for the portly gentleperson

There's no TPMS sensors. But you get two sets of wheels so i'd argue a fair trade

All the above have been considered when valuing the car. If you wanted a mint car you could spend another £4-5k on panels and paint and have something cosmetically perfect too but at £38k it's the bargain of the century for the spec and as such i'm not prepared to haggle on the price over these things.

If anyone wants to know more feel free to reach out. As mentioned earlier i'm not going to entertain tyre kickers and test drives are only offered with comprehensive insurance cover.

For transparency the car has an outstanding balance that will be settled alongside the buyer before being driven away.

Car is located in Airdrie, ML6
