Personally I think that's a bit too much. I'm going for a few PSI higher than normal, which was fine for me last time.
Mark does say get them pumped up high and explains the forces of sliding your car are trying to pull the tyre off the wheel. Which is why he recommends it.
Might be that is...
I think it starts at 9am but everyone is to be there around 8:30 for a chat/ brief.
Just remember to put some fuel in the tank before. Last time a couple had to shoot off to go fill up.
Also top up the tyres a few PSI higher than normal.
Last time I went on this in May it was wet doing the high speed turns, which made it really easy to slide.
Hoping for it to be dry this time. Just to find out the GR's "dry limit" and how different it handles/ corrects.
Would have jumped on this but got drive limits the day after.
Didn't manage to go on your previous one but followed your route a few weeks after. Some cracking roads/ scenery!
Just over 24k since October 21. By my calculations about 56.57 miles per day!
Average 25mpg.
Do not work out how much money has been spent on fuel, it will shock you!
Good to see you getting the mileage in Lauren.
I've just had the 24k service done and I collected mine end of October 21. Only have a 5 mile commute to work so most of my mileage is on back roads!
Also haven't changed the rear pads yet as they were on 7 mm but have changed the fronts twice...
I'm interested to go again!
However I'll wait to see if this gets filled up for those who haven't been before.
Might even have my all season tyres on still. Be interesting to see how different it handles.
It's a great day and really essential if you want to find what the GR is like once it...
Absolutely! Happy to meet half way or even if you know some decent roads round there I'll come up.
I've noticed since I got my GR I just go for random drives looking for good driving roads. No other has made me do that. Coming up to 20k miles in just under a year.
When any yorkshire owners get there's I'd be happy to meet up and just sit in the passenger seat for a ride. And vice verca of course!
I'll put that out to supra owners too!!
2 splendid looking GR's, both private regs, drove past me around Ferrybridge heading north about 16:30. White one had Lichfield on the side and was lowered and on spacers? Nitrons no doubt! Such presence on the road when you see them coming in your mirrors. I wasn't in mine unfortunately...
As the current reigning champion I feel it is my duty to defend my title!
That's reminds me actually, wasn't there suppose to be a prize for the last one?
But seriously I really want to master that handbrake turn after the first straight, loads of time to make up there.
Can I ask what changes have you made to get down to 1230kg?
I was thinking of going down the weight loss route too.
I had 4 adults in mine and put my foot down to show off a bit and man was it slow! Made me realise weight matters!
