Im trying to obtain some GRMN specific parts but to search the parts sytem i need a 17 digit VIN or model and frame details off the Jap build plate. can anyone help?

Shouldn't the parts be available officially even without a VIN? Toyota announced that the majority of parts (including the hood iirc) would be available to owners of existing GR Yarises.
the entire Toyota parts system is VIN based. without a VIN, the dealer cant easily search, especially for models not sold in your own country
I’m at my Toyota dealership today having the Audio upgraded.. I’ll ask my parts manager to see if he can get any part number/Vin number or where to get if at all possible.

Nothing yet, as you know the Toyota ordering system from Japan is extremely complicated for non EU products. I’ll hopefully have more updates after Xmas now.

Japanese domestic vehicles use a chassis number instead of a 17 character VIN.
GR RC, GR RZ, GR RZ High Performance (Gen1 and Gen2), and GRMN models have chassis numbers starting with GXPA16, while the GR RS uses MXPA12.
There was a recall for GRMN models in 2023 due to an issue with backdoor waterproofing. It affected vehicles with chassis numbers ranging from GXPA16-0009707 to GXPA16-0011466, totaling 153 units of the GRMN and GRMN Circuit Package. Both of these range defining chassis numbers belong to GRMN models.
