Thats strange.

Another mod done on the GR86, this time the Nameless V-bars.

They actually fitted perfectly with my existing strut bar, which is handy considering I have no idea what brand the strut bar is!

I haven’t had a chance to properly test them yet, but over the next couple of days I’ll be taking the car out on a few different roads around me to see if I can notice any difference in handling, steering feel and overall chassis response.

There are also some much bigger plans in the works for the GR86 at the moment. I’m not saying too much just yet, but let’s just say these V-bars are only a small part of what I’ve got planned for the car...

More on that later.

Drove the GR86 today after fitting the Nameless V-braces, both around town and on the motorway.

I can't really quantify the improvement properly, but there is definitely a noticeable difference.

The steering/front-end feel feels around 5% better to me — slightly tighter and more direct.

The biggest difference is the noise/resonance, which I'd say is around 20% better. The car just feels a bit quieter and less harsh, particularly at motorway speeds.

Obviously these aren't scientific measurements, just my personal impressions, but after driving the car in different conditions today, I'd definitely say it's an improvement and I'm happy with the result.
