GR Yaris Main Dealers - Ireland -parts

Don't know what the position is in Uk but here in Ireland the main dealers are blocked from ordering parts for a jdm Yaris. Went into my dealer today and get on great with my parts guy but wanted to price TPMS for a new set of wheels and when he put in my reg it wouldn't allow him order them, now he said he could order regular ones but wasn't sure with connection issues etc. Service bits are ok oil, filters etc but I am thinking that here Toyota is going the same route as BMW Dealers and jdm BMW's and parts.

Hi, if UK can order the stuff I live in Warrenpoint near the border - happy if you need to use my address and you can come pick them up.
 
I may be wrong but JDM vins (start with GXPA16 instead of JTDxx...) are different to ours so it probably causes computer to say no. Perhaps just get a reg from a listing on eBay?

There are deffo differences between jdm and eu cars in certain bits and the tpms sensors are different as I have found out and the dealer couldn't order them as Toyota Ireland have block refused to import/supply
 
TPMS senders are pretty much a commodity though, you don't need to get Toyota parts and almost any tyre fitting place can supply and code some for you?
 
I looked up and its something to do with the frequency difference between Asia/USA and Europe but I am open to correction as the main dealer parts guy said the ones on my jdm are different part numbers to Irish/UK models
 
Ahh, think you're right. Japan uses 315 MHz compared to the 433 MHz we use here.

You can buy compatible sensors here though. Autel etc. do dual frequency ones and they are only like €30 or so.

Think I'll get the jdm ones so no issues etc when putting on new wheels and swapping back to old for track days etc
