I changed to Michelin PS5. Great grip wet or dry. Quieter a tad and despite sidewalls being XL (Extra Load) the ride is minutely better.

@Goatwidcoat Wow, longer life, that is good to know. Thanks. I took PS4 off at 10k miles they were not done, as i put them on my RX-8 spare wheels for winter. Good to know the PS5 will last longer on GR.

Agree and the HKS Legamax Premium exhaust, with fake engine noise off, for mild theatre is a must.

Good write up. My GR continues to grow on me, especially after fitted HKS rearbox exhaust and unplugged horrible fake engine noise.

@Silver Fox . Suggest to Hang in there for a while yet, to a least spring for better resale price. And as I’ve just turned 10k miles, I find the car drives better now suspension and engine wise as everything is freeing up. Plan bits of route off the motorway if can. New PS5 tyres helped my...

“Nice Celica” happened. So, After short correctional conversion, then guys dad said “ah a Subaru with Toyota badge”. So more correct with AE86 Corolla detail context and both RWD guys now full mega fans, lol.

I've like and have gone with Michelin pilot sport 5 (PS5). In 250 miles I find them better across the board to the PS4. More comfortable too despite be extra load (XL), go figure.

I can believe damping the throttle in this way will work.

Thanks. I’m getting new PS5 onto the 86 and the 9000mile PS4 will go onto spare wheels for RX-8 for road and/or cold track days. Nice 993 I’ve a Cayman S not been brave enough to TrackDay Cayman or GR.

Perfect, thanks. My PS4 have 9000 miles on and will go on nicely to my RX8 for road use. Looking forward to new fresh PS5 on GR.

Any longer term updates on Michelin Pilot Sport 5 ?
