Actually I saw a better defined image, and it looked like a chrome big "R", not the usual badge. But it's just a tough guessing, I know...

I saw someone tried to make the photo a bit clearer, and I see a big "R" at the right side of the the license plate holder, where there is usually thr GR badge. Could it be some mysterious GR-R?

I totally agree with you. For sure, being a so extreme sports car, it's quite an achievement even considering some known issues. About the 2016 to present, I'm guessing maybe they included the GRMN series from the previous model?
