Watched this last night, quite wild / lots of pushing from the tyres throughout the lap. Also interesting how your perception of speed varied depending on the camera’s FOV (small dash vs main interior picture, and how the main interior shot shows the elevation changes a bit better).

These look cool, how do the adaptive studs work? Is it that when there’s a certain temperature drop, the surrounding rubber blocks contract so the studs are exposed? And if so how do you avoid brake temps warming the tyres and then closing up around the studs…or is that unlikely given winter...

Tarox are fairly popular aftermarket rotors. Others on this forum are way more knowledgable than me engineering wise but I imagine that from a handling perspective, 2kg more of rotational mass on the rotors alone is a lot more inertia/harder to turn with (and stop), so could be a nightmare.

Not sure how specific they are but Evo Corse ship these with their wheels and I’ve found the engagement fine with standard studs. I do find that they scratch / show wear quite easily but will do for the task. And not sure any painted finish will survive undoing...
