GR Yaris Has anyone replaced front discs?

Hi. Have complete 6800 miles to date and are on pad set number 5 after 8 track days. Disc need replacing but not sure we’re to get replacement ones from? Plus what pads to use?
any ideas chaps.

Are they really 695 GBP for 2 discs? Do they ship outside uk?

Edit: Had EBC discs and Carbon Lorraine CL5+ on my Elise. I can't say a bad thing about the discs - never drove a good ebc pad though.

I fitted front tarox discs and pads and rear tarox pads. Very happy with the performance and quality. Almost no wear after 2 hours around brands and super consistent pedal. Discs are floating as well.

I got Girodisc front discs and PFC39 all around. Works very well on track 👍
Hi Magnus, did you buy them from a shop in Europe? If so, may I ask you where? I’m interested in replacing OEM ones soon and would like to check some options out there. Specially if they are two pieces, and the rings can be replaced so it’s more cost effective long term,

Magnus sold his car and hasn't posted in a good while, most probably from this local to him reseller

I could confirm it with him if you want to be 100% sure ;)

Regarding weight difference to OEM discs.
OEM disc seem to have min thickness of 25mm, whereas lots of aftermarket discs have min thickness of 26mm. Would explain why aftermarkets are lighter.

Wonder what was the min thickness of Endless disc, as it is 34mm by width?

Speaking of thickness, I might be "thick", but I don't follow. Or is there a typo in the above?

Bit of a thread resurrection. What’s everyone using? What’s a light set?

Just at 30,000 mile service and they reckon a bit of life left in them but as I’m about to swap pads might as well do discs.

I have replaced front OEM discs with EBC floating
at 16k miles due to bad wear of outter 1cm (caused by stuck caliper pins)
Drove another 16k miles on EBC, worn to 27.5+mm so plenty of life left
At nearly half the price, for me its a no brainer
They seem to have better initial bite than OEM? (Or just got used to it?)

They are a bit lighter than OEM

Yes, I recently switched to EBC floating discs too.

9.5 kg new vs 9.7 kg for the worn OEM discs which came off which are at about 26.3 mm but I thought I'd change them anyway.

I reckon new OEM discs weigh about 10kg, so only about half a kilo per wheel saved which is less than Endless etc., but at about half the price!

I got the discs and RP-1 pads from EBC for about €775.

With these pads, the initial touch from cold is a little worse but bite is much better once there is even the slightest bit of heat in them.

Given the recent weather conditions I haven't yet been able to give them a proper workout, but based on how they feel now and reports from others who have used them, I expect to be very satisifed.

I have a set of RP-1’s ready to go on so just finding good value discs to replace.

I'm gonna wear my OEM's down to 25mm, makes them lighter and keeps my wallet heavy ;) But good to know what to get later.
Yeah, the garage said they "had a bit of life left in them" but the service dude didn't have the actual measurements to hand so I didn't know if that meant 1mm or 0.1mm!

I could easily have gotten another six months out of them (car is at 33,000 km, 21 months), but have the forum Pyrenees trip in June and would NOT want to attempt that with end-of-life discs!
