Believe it or not but the GR Yaris has now been in production since Sept 2020. o_O

Early press cars are now 3 years old and from memory the first UK customer cars will soon hit their 3 year birthday. 🎂

Hopefully cars will pass without problems, or fail on minor fixes such as headlight alignments, no screen wash etc but if your car fails on something more significant, then please share it here, to see if their is a pattern. Feel free to also mention if it passes with no advisories. ✔️

For members located outside of the UK, feel free to add your experience with your local test too.
 
January for me as well - don’t know where the times gone- but it’s been a brilliant 3 years of B road driving 😎
 
Mine is going in for its first TÜV Inspection beginning of December. Fingers crossed that everything is going to be mint!
 
Dropped mine off this morning for its MOT, not expecting any surprises but will update when I have it back.
 
Does anyone's Tax and MOT dates annoyingly fall on different dates? The last new car I bought was easy to keep on top of as the Tax, MOT and Service all came at the same time but I just had my Tax reminder for the GRY and it's like 20 days before the MOT is due... 🤨 I guess I'm just being pedantic but it was easy to keep on top of it with my Focus RS... :unsure: o_O
 
Didn’t think you could tax it without a registration but the mot is required by the third anniversary isn’t it so could just do it earlier to match tax if you like. I always adjust the mots so it’s at a decent time of year so I’m not lying in snow trying to fix something.

Pay tax by direct debit then you never have to think about it. If you have a smart phone vehicle smart is a good app to keep track of multiple cars and all the dates for various things. I even find out the cars have passed their MOT’s before the garage calls when I get a notification.
 
Had mine MOT’d on the 2nd December and passed. Only advisories were the 4mm tread on all tyres which tbf is to be expected for its age. Difficultly now is sourcing pilot sport 4S’s in the correct size.

Another red GR was in getting something done on it I assume with and it had OEM wheels painted in bronze. Looked beautiful!

My tyres are lower than 4mm. I will be looking to replace in the new year. I would be interested in hearing how you get on sourcing PS4 S.

I had to buy two before my MOT.

Stock was hard to find. Bought one from Demon Tweeks and the second from Camskill.

DT told me they were restocking this month.
 
I swapped out for Goodyears found them just as good if not better. I believe everyone is raving about continental now.
 
Yes the Continental Contisport 7 has come out tops in a number of independant tests including one in EVO magazine.
