Event 🎌 The Japfest 2023 Thread | 23/4/23 at Silverstone Circuit

I’m no longer able to attend this event as it’s the same day as the FA Cup semi final which I’ve just been allocated tickets. I have two tickets for the club zone and I also have a track facing twin room at Silverstone. The room hasn’t been paid for but when i cancel it will probably be available to book so happy to do-ordinate with someone who wants the room. Will let the tickets to the event go at face valu.

We have the Perlon Nogaro in our car, so it doesnt have the nice STG/GR logos in sadly.

You can get an idea of the feel of the seat for width/comfort and seat height however as the only difference is the materials. Same seat underneath.

I'll be popping over for a try then, if you can make it (y)

Guys bit new this whole Japfest thing but son is a total JDM freak and it's his birthday on 23rd are tickets still available and of course will be bringing the GRY so do we have a club deal or meet up

What's the plan for getting in folks? Is there a time for getting onto the stand?

I'm coming in after picking my nephew up, probs from Cambridge 🙈, so zero chance of coming in in convoy 😕

Think it's too late to get on the club stand now, as the deadline was in March. So don't think you'll be able to get your GRY with the rest of us, unless someone can no longer make it and will still you their spot.

Think there are tickets avaliable, but all the early bird deals will have possibly gone.

A lot of us are staying over the night before, and then will make the very short drive to the venue.

Think there's a 9am cut-off to get your car on a club stand, but not 100%. They don't send the info out until a week or so before the event!

The Japfest map is likely to be shared on social media before it's shared with us, so keep an eye out.
We have 60 cars due to attend, although last time I checked it was 62 :ROFLMAO: so let's see who turns up on the day.

Can i strongly advise everyone to take a packed lunch? Catering truck queues last year were an absolute joke from well before the event officially started. I managed to get a coffee very early on with no wait, but from very shortly afterwards it was utter chaos.
