Hi

Ive previously seen someone posted all the correct LED bulbs to link to where to buy (Amazon I think) and which type/fitting was needed to ensure no warning lights

Im aiming to do with LEDs
Interior lights
Puddle lights
Boot interior light
Rear reversing lights

Not had the car long enough to know if there are more to replace!

thanks in advance

Thanks so much Nick, appreciate that, as soon as I started looking realised the choice/options just made me check with an expert :)

Now I'm defintely not one of those, I'm just handy at spotting what others bought before me and said worked, and went with that.

If you only want to do the interior lights and boot the 10 pack is also available as a 4 pack which was on offer for £6something when I got them.

I went with these for the reversing lights:

And these for the interior and boot (I think they would work for the puddle lights as well, but I went with lights that projected the logo instead):

There's 10 in a pack, so leaves some spare for replacement if needed.

Exactly the same as me.

@SJR202 I bought a 10 pack of the interior ones, but only needed 5 (2x dome lights, 2x door puddle lights, 1x boot). So I still have 5 left over.
If you want, they're yours for the price of postage (probably a couple of quid at most). Can't see me needing spares, so otherwise they will just sit in my garage forever.

I've got some bulbs and everything, but I'm wondering...

Am I the only one who quite likes the retro, more soothing vibe of the original interior bulbs? They evoke a warm glow (not unlike the bulbs themselves) of nostalgia in me.

Not like these harsh, aggressive, thrusting, up and at 'em LEDs.

It's probably just me (again) isn't it.

Yeah you're not wrong, the LED lighting is much harsher. I think long-term I want to get some cooler white LEDs. Right now these bright LEDs are good enough, but long term you can get a cooler light LED, better than the halogens and less of that cheap yellow feel/look.

The LEDs are a cooler, harsher colour, I agree. However on the interior of a car, it doesn't bother me much. I'm not sitting with them on for long periods of time, I only put them on when I need to do something. In which case, maximum illumination is best, so it's an acceptable trade for me.

Same applies in the house to be honest. I use lower temperature LEDs around most of the house for a better ambience. But in the kitchen, a cooler temperature feels more fitting for that brighter more "surgical" look.

If you cast around I am sure you could probably find better quality LEDs for the car which are brighter than incandescent, but with a warmer colour.

Thank you, that is an extremely kind offer, but I have already ordered them and also decided some of the spares to try and see if they work in my other car :)

I felt the same after changing the interior lights to bright white LEDs, but functionally they just give better light distribution than halogen bulbs.

I would suggest getting some cheap warm white LEDs around 4500-5000K to see if it improves the ambience of the car inside.

For door puddle lights I'm swapping for some cheap GR projectors, and the boot and reverse lights really benefit from bright white uniform LED lighting.

No worries.

If anyone else reads this and wants 5x of the LED bulbs for the interior, give me a shout.

I'll bag those if I may? Just need a car to put them in first:ROFLMAO:

Is there a private message system on here?

Ahh...sorry mate...I just promised them to PVGR, he was selling me his mudflaps and messaged me just now, so I'd said I'd send him the spare bulbs back.
Sorry :(

Have you got a link to any puddle projectors?

Am I being man blind? Where are the puddle lights on these cars? Wrong thread I’m GR Yaris! Doh! Man blind for sure…
