Japfest 2023 details will soon be announced and the plan is for the forum to attend - the venue is Silverstone Circuit.

More details to follow and if you plan on joining us please follow this thread and let us know whether you will be joining us. (y)
⚠️ Don't buy your tickets until we have shared our club code. You will not be able to join the GR Zoo stand without using our code, isn't that right @Sticky

Now the forum is established, we hope to see more people attending, including owners of all GR products.

Details of the 2022 event can be found here.

Saturday Night Hotel

Anyone who is interested in coming over on the Saturday (22 April) to meet up and have some food and drinks in the evening, a lot of us have booked the hotel at Silverstone. The hotel in MK where we'd planned to stay again had no rooms (Mary and Joseph know the feeling).

Can be booked via booking.com, and probably lots of other sites, that allow free cancellation up until mid-April.

Located in Towcester and with Bletchley Park reachable within 29 km, Hilton Garden Inn Silverstone provides a terrace, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi...

GR-Zoo has a stand at Japfest, and last year we had a good showing of GRYs and GR Supras.

So far we have one GR86 committed to the club stand. It'd be great to get quite a few more!

Details here:

Post in thread 'The Japfest 2023 Thread | 23/4/23 at Silverstone Circuit' https://www.gr-zoo.com/threads/the-...3-4-23-at-silverstone-circuit.2756/post-47841

Is there going to be a gr group going to Japfest?
🚗💨

Anyone going to Japfest? Any thoughts on a group stand now we have a fresh influx of cars?

Just booked tickets to go JAPFEST this year… who’s going?

Welcome @Ninjaboy take a look at the thread below. Plenty of forum members are going, so should be a big stand.

Date now confirmed 23/4/23, Silverstone Circuit - club code will be shared once we have it. (y)

I'll be there. Will get a list going as soon as we have the code and can start buying our tickets.

GRYs, Supras, and possibly some GR86s on the stand this time!

Would like to go to this. How does it work? Just buy tickets with a code? Or is there some more organisation?

If you buy a club ticket with our code, you can park your car with other members of the forum who'll all have a GR. If you buy a general ticket, you'll be in with the Mazda 2's, Nissan Bluebirds and Mitsubishi Shoguns. ;)

Provisionally booked a refundable room, guessing they’ll fill up at a rapid rate of knots once tickets are on sale.

Quite a few stayed the night before at the Doubletree in Milton Keynes last year, but that appears to be booked up.

So far a few have booked the Hilton Garden Inn which is a new hotel at Silverstone Circuit - if you plan on joining us, then this seems to be a good option, but it will sell out!

Edited for accuracy

If you are going, please book your ticket asap - the more people who book using our code, potentially the better location GR-Zoo will receive and benefit from early bird pricing. Remember this is a stand for Toyota GR cars only.

From the FAQ's:

Clubs are plotted based on a first come, first served basis. The sooner your club books their tickets, the more likely you are to get a ‘good’ location within the event.

Here's the link to the hotel at Silverstone. As Chris said, the usual hotel in MK is fully booked up, so this one will very likely fill up quickly - so book early to avoid disappointment. See you in the bar on the Saturday!
