GR86 GRogues Chat

Hi fellow rogues I ordered 10th April @ 7:52 am and order eventually confirmed on the 20th April.
My EB MT is in Derby for the last day or so.
Just need to sort out have to finance now!

For clairty this an order placed when the website opened 2 weeks before official orders. The link to the site was posted on these forums, and from memory it was up for a day or so, so we all had a chance and approx 20 orders went through before it closed.

I'm hoping we can use this thread to discuss those GRogue orders.

So I'm curious who are the GRogues on here? Show yourself!

I'd rather people didn't use this topic to slag us off - please direct your feedback to Toyota UK. :D

I’ve no intention of slagging any of you folk off (and hope no one else has), congratulations for actually securing a car , hopefully in 2023 👍😎.

@PVGR unless you want to create a “GRogues List” @beorg may wish to add the order date information to his list. It will be interesting to see how cars are delivered compared to the date and time orders were actually placed 🤔

The £29,999 question is who will actually be the first person to take delivery of their GR86, not sure I’d Betfred is a member but they may be able to offer some odds 🤔😂

Email from Toyota saying order would be honoured: 20/4/22
Left factory: 13/5/22
Arrived Portbury: 15/6/22
Arrived Derby: 14/7/22

The dealer called today - their Estimate is the car will be with them in two weeks' time from today, ready to pickup (that's what they see in their system).

It wont be with you till October as Toyota are holding all shipments until the end of September.

Called Toyota for an update today, same as everyone else - mysteriously on hold.

However after some polite nudging they told me I was order #2 which is cool.

Who was # 1? Someone posted the link?
 
Nice! I posted a link that lots used on the actual release date but I seem to remember the first link I saw was posted on Pistonheads by someone not even putting a deposit down! 🤷‍♂️

Yep 😢

I think was the second time they said 2-3 weeks away.

I'm trying to think how ridiculously awesome the day will be when I get it. Trying to think of the delay making it sweeter, like having a fat donut after a strict diet.
