GR86 GR86 Delivery Tracking and Collection thread

Maybe all our cars are being sent back to Japan as they can’t sell them here for whatever regulatory reason so the GR86 wont be coming to Europe after all😜

We will instead be offered the chance to move our deposit to another car in the Toyota range such as an Aygo.

I joke, but given how farcical this process has been……

Same for me chaps - back to "processing order..."

It's been a right old kerfuffle hasn't it.

I know it's a complex business, having things shipped from overseas, but there absolutely must be a better way of doing it in terms of end-to-end process and associated communications.

Folk will - not without some foundation - point out that shipping anything to the UK from overseas is fraught with problems nowadays. However, as a counterpoint (and of course I absolutely know it's not the same thing) I ordered a watch from Japan and it took THREE DAYS to get to my house (JDM Grand Seiko if anyone's interested ).

Hmm same for me, MyT is back to "Processing", website still In Transit at Portbury.
A bit disconcerting :S

For me, MyT and browser version has not changed, still showing processing order, which is correct as my car is "sometime in 2023".

In the MyT app, my car was in the "build in progress" stage but now only shows "Contact your retailer". Through the webpage it still shows as "build in progress".

With all that has gone on with the ordering process and coupled with RTV issues that I'm reading/seeing over in the US I've lost all excitement and joy for getting a new car. 😒

"Back to" processing order!

Ha! Some of you don't know you were born, there are plenty of us who have never left Processing Order. Ever. We will welcome you back to the Motherland of Order Processing, but you will be forever tarnished as one of those who dared to leave what will be your forever home.

Yep, becasue tehy use the 3 objects, which are still available.
But the other 3 have vanished, including the delivery date.

What model? I quite fancy a white birch. I like that they go under the radar as I don’t wear my Rolex out anymore. Wear a Halios Seaforth most of the time now if you’ve ever heard of them?

Apologies for thread derailment but watches were a massive obsession for me until I whittled down to a smaller collection.

MyT app still says "Processing order" but does show my VIN still there under "owned" but Dev tools on the website says current position is Derbyshire with no trace of a VIN although no dates are now shown whereas they did before.

Me thinks the cleaner has unplugged the app server plug. :ROFLMAO:

Yeah same for me so most of us were on Porgy and it docked early hours of this morning. I'm glad I took screenshot of details before so know what VIN was. App borked, metadata missing dates and VIN. Perhaps it will change again when it actually gets to Derby as I did have a date for Derby as 22nd

Same issue with the app showing the order as processing, however it appears to be an app specific issue rather than anything to do with the order - logged in to My Toyota portal online and I can see my status updated to In Transit with the car clearly having been unloaded at Portbury already.

For those of you who managed to capture the VIN before, you can manually add it to your owned vehicles on the portal, not that it does much anyway.

It's the SBGX295 with the 9F62 Quartz movement. I bought it as a reliable "set and forget"/"grab and go" robust alternative to my 1960s and 70s vintage pieces which need a little more TLC!

The finishing on it is incredible.

I have indeed heard of Halios - I used to own a Tropik B (bronze). I actually sold that a few years back for a profit.

Love the debate about watches, got a few automatic Seikos, a JDM Orient and a Bulova myself, but could I suggest moving that debate into the Off Topic section of the forum, which may capture a larger audience, please? :)

I'll be happy to move any relevant posts once you start a thread.

Conscious that with everyone anxiously awaiting an update on their car (before the car itself) specific threads will get more and more diluted here.

Since the app is saying “Contact you retailer”, has anyone actually done this?

Who knows…. Maybe it means your car is ready for delivery?!?! (Those who were previously in derby already) 😅
