I'm aware that I'm kind of late to the party here, but I'm over the moon today!

My app has kind of updated, but also not. It went from "blank" to having some locations filled out and a route in the map further down. But I received an email from my local dealer saying my car is in production and with a more accurate delivery date :) Estimated early August in Norway. Apparently they skip to Malmø, Sweden via Belgium. Going by truck from Sweden to Norway it seems.

Cant wait!

Congrats, it's a good feeling knowing it is finally happening :)

When did you order? I'm always curious.

27th of January 2022. But I think the car was actually ordered by the dealer some time before that. So my hypothesis is that I got the one they were supposed to have in the showroom or something. Not sure though.

I’m sure it’s in here somewhere, but can’t find it. Is there a best practice run in routine? Like 500 km bellow this and that revcount on 98 octane unleaded etc etc?

But the manual just says

For the first 1000 km (621 miles):
• Do not drive at extremely high speeds.
• Avoid sudden acceleration.
• Do not drive continuously in low gears.
• Do not drive at a constant speed for extended periods.

There are some lines in the manual. Pretty much the same with most other engines.

First few hundreds to thousand km no hard breaking, no hard accelerating. Avoid constant engine speed for too long and better not rev over 4k rpm. So just drive easily on countryside till it's properly run in. Than start to increase load and rpm from drive to drive. 98 or above is mandatory in my opinion to ovoid knock. Take oil with api sp / ilsac gf6 certificate to ovoid LSPI.

Good luck and have fun! :)

Don't drive with an egg under the throttle, just warm engine, vary rpm and only short bursts of full throttle (1s) at most when warm. No set rpm limit but since full throttle time is limited you're not really redlining it either. Avoid motorways and no cruise control.
That's my 'recipe' and more or less what the manual states. I'll spare you the theory, long thread in the old place...

i was wathcing this video some years ago too. good explaining.

Got an update today. Went from “processing order” to “build in progress”.

What’s a good guesstimate on arrival in Norway do you all think?

Another 8-10 weeks at a guess, usually 8 weeks to get to the UK, but the factory is closed next week and it's probably a week thereabouts from there to Norway.

Can anyone help me figure out what ship mine is on? Got this notification at 12:30 GMT +2 today.

Enter MyToyota website on a PC , go to your order screen, press F12 and then F5. Click the "Network" tab on your InspectElement/Developer Tools panel and filter (or look for) your order ID.

In intermediateDeliveries, there should be an entry like this:

If it has the same day, its probable your car is on Heroic Leader: https://www.fleetmon.com/vessels/heroic-leader_9441570_2771782/

Thank @Brasso for this information!

Guess its on Heroic Leader then? :)
Thanks for the intel. You and @Brasso both.

I will be following the ship on a daily basis

Got the notification that my car is in transit from Zeebrugge on Monday. Going via Malmö. Any guesstimate on arrival in Norway? Can’t figure out how they are supposed to spend 3 weeks on an 18 hour drive (google maps). Estimated arrival on webtool is 5th of August.
