I planned on having a specialist build me a custom exhaust but they're far too busy with other work with better margins for quite a while.
I always liked the low sound of the mongoose but it's gone up £100 from Collins and whilst fensport still has them at 895 with t'other forum discount code the whifbitz gpf back is intriguing for the money but looks non-res l, but sounds res from the vids, anyone any experience with one? Sound, any drone etc? Not looking at the gpf delete or titanium

I have the titanium gpf back, I weighed everything to just over 7kg. The system compromises a couple of extra clamps over welds, but the cost savings on similar Ti exhausts is huge (bought mine in the Black Friday deal).

The noise is improved with no drone at all throughout the rev range. Very happy with it and it was a doddle to fit. I had doubts originally about 4 1/2” tips but they fill the area very well and I like them now.

Have the full 3“ Turboback System with Cat. and OPF/GPF delete pipe.
Works great. Video will come out in a couple of weeks.

One thing tho:
The bracket at the downpipe didn‘t fit at all…
We had to cut and bend it, so we could install it.
Plus we had to cut the bolts who connect the OPF/GPF delete pipe to the rear section, because they seized during installation.
So just use other ones!

And that‘s how the bracket of the downpipe looks for now before we make our own bracket.

But besides that, i‘m happy with it.
Sounds great and the rest fitted like a glove.

That’s not good, I used the original Toyota one when I fitted mine no problems so far, I have covered about 700 km since fitting got a major road trip coming up with 1800 km to do, now worried.

Original Toyota is perfectly fine.

But it doesn‘t fit with their Cat. delete downpipe, because this has a diameter of 73mm and OEM is 71mm.

So as long as you have the OEM gasket, you‘re fine.

I went with the mongoose in the end whilst Fensport still listed as the cheaper price, it's always been the one I'd been drawn to in my gut for about 7 months, and I like it, the deep (relatively!) sound is what I was after. It is quite boomy though inside, I have ese off, and is quietest at 70mph. For what I want it suits but I don't think it's been mentioned anywhere on this or the old forum about an interior boom, which isn't what I'd call drone. I don't know, I'm happy just more inside than I expected, perhaps the whifbitz might have less of this, but only the single silencer, perhaps the boom will settle down after some miles.

Hello Whifbitz owners, I consider getting their Ti GPF-back system, is the sound OK during highway cruising? I'm a bit worried if it really doesn't drone 🙈 And how does the Ti/SS system compare in terms of overall sound?
Firstly I chose Varex system, but when I found out it does weight about 10kgs more than stock I don't want it anymore :-/
Thanks!
