Well if you've any hints or tips before I try and grab some free daylight time this weekend, fire away!
Undo the air box upper clips, gently lever away the back compartment, extract original air filter, insert K&N air filter, reposition rear of air filter box aligning lower tabs and upper left and right corners, close upper clips.

Takes less than two minutes.

It might be too early to tell but did it improve anything?

Thanks, I wondered in the first instance if the bolt to the back RHS had to be loosened to lever it back, hence why I hesitated in the fading light.

2 screws in 1 week - I haven't said that for a while. The other side rear tyre picked one up this time, again luckily just far enough away from the sidewall. £15 a time, which I think is fair.

1. Fitted my Noco battery terminal connector to make battery conditioning easier. Realised engine bay has never been cleaned ‘properly’.
2. Gave Techstream a shot and turned off the ESG. Attempted the Windows Keyfob thing but don’t think it worked (may not have saved).
3. Removed locking wheel nuts with my new Impact Wrench - so satisfying! 😆
4. Reset Driver window memory so it now closes properly when shutting the door. Thanks @Conscript ;)

Yet to drive = hope to do an oil change today and get some miles in. I have low expectations :)
Oil change at 1340 miles - managed with ramps and chocks.

Followed the advice & recommendations of more knowledgeable GR-ZOO members - thank you:

Oil: Millers - EE Performance Fully Synthetic Engine Oil With Nano Tec - 0w20 [from Fensport]
Filter: OEM Subaru oil filter & crush washer.

Very straight forward.

Would have been a 20 minute job if I hadn’t dropped the oil filler cap into the engine. Schoolboy error cost me 45 minutes to remove/replace the lower engine protection pan. [what a di$%]

In my excitement I also forgot to re-attach the “oil drain inspection plate” screws. [double di$%!]

I give myself half marks overall - still chuffed by the ease, speed and saving.

No miles planned for today but a big trip scheduled for tomorrow.

Cold white LEDs from AliExpress arrived, so they'll get fitted tomorrow (when its light, there's a joke in there somewhere).

Supposedly selling my other car this week if I can convince someone to actually show up and take the ruddy thing. Facebook Marketplace is a nightmare. Pocket money for some CC2s I think.

I've not used the GR86 for a week or so due to working from home and us using our other car for social/domestic purposes.

It was nice to get out for a drive today. There's some greasy/leafy/mulchy roads where I live, which led to much liveliness at very modest speeds requiring the occasional "dab of oppo".

Car feels so alive in these conditions. What a machine.

I bought some of the same, along with some Ice Blue ones from Amazon. Thinking I'll put the Ice Blue in the puddle lights and interior, then use the cold white for the boot and maybe rear plate ... although last time I saw someone with bright lights on their plate I though it a bit nobbish ... so I might not.

I'd be interested in a shot of those ice blues on the interior, I think I'm going to chuck them all in except the plate light. Very, very tempted by the GR86 puddle light posted elsewhere, though.

Agreed, there's something not right about bright white number plate lights.

I am glad I am not the only one who thinks this!
So often I've seen people replace halogen plate lights for LED lights and it always looks way too bright. Although I think our number plate lights are LED from factory anyway?
